Tyler D. Schwab, 18, of Clymer, N.Y., died on Sunday,
May 9, 2010. He was born on May 31, 1991 to David L.
and Dorothy Schultz Schwab of Clymer. He graduated
Clymer High School in 2009 and presently worked on
his family owned dairy farm, and was a member of the
Jamestown Chiefs Semi – Pro football team. Tyler
worked long hours every day, sometimes over 80 hours
a week; still Tyler found time to be a part of the
Jamestown Chiefs organization. Tyler was a projected
as a starter at OLB and considered a very valuable
member of the defense. Greater however than Tyler’s
impact on the field, was his impact on his teammates. At
age 18, one of the youngest members of the team, Tyler
was instantly accepted by his team mates and soon
became one of our brothers. Tyler will be missed greatly
on and off the field. Not only did this organization lose
an excellent player, but the Chief’s family lost a brother.

Tyler will be remembered as a great person, teammate, brother, and son. Our greatest
condolences are extended to the rest of Tyler’s family and friends, and we look forward to
dedicating victories to Tyler this season. Tyler is survived by a brother, Shaun Hannah and
friend, April, of Florida; sisters, Cady Schwab of Clymer, and Jenna Schwab of Clymer; a
grandfather, Albert Schultz, of North East, several aunts, uncles, cousins and the
Jamestown Chief's staff, fans, and players.
Chiefs Headed to the Playoffs!
|
With one more regular season game left, the Chiefs are 5-4 and will make the playoffs for the second time. The most likely scenario is for the Chiefs to play the Onieda County Titans at home on Strider Field on September 25th.
